SKAI Shotokan Karate-Do Alliance International e.V.
The Shotokan Karate-Do Alliance International e.V. (SKAI) has been founded by Shihan Shinji Akita. It emanated from the Shotokan Karate Association (SKA), which was formed in Great Britain in May 2003.

SKAI is a non-profit, non-political organization which is open to all, regardless of gender, age, nationality or race. It is an Alliance of like-minded groups and organizations, existing to promote high
standards in traditional Shotokan Karate.

SKAI is a platform for Karate-ka to broaden their knowledge, for networking and information exchange.
It allows its members to access special events as national and international training courses and tournaments. Being provided with technical guidance, grading standards and syllabus, the members
are being able to achieve an internationally acknowledged grading.

“My vision is of a world-wide Alliance of Shotokan Karate Associations and Clubs, whose single aim is to uphold the disciplines and traditions of karate-do whilst putting technical excellence and spirit before popularity, shortcuts, fame and material reward.”
